Maco is anxiously waiting for his friends to visit him. He can’t wait to show them what he has been doing this time! The others have no idea how much fun you can have in the kitchen.
Maco has gathered all kinds of pots, pans, dishes and empty bottles and placed them on the kitchen table. He plans to use them all as musical instruments and have the Kip Crew guess which items he is using without looking. Maco has also been testing the different sounds he can make when he pours different amounts of water into the bottles. He blows into the bottles and beautiful tunes fill the kitchen.
His friends finally arrive. Maco gets them to play a game. His friends all use scarves to cover their eyes and try to guess which object is making each noise. No peeking!
Waaba is great at coming up with fun ideas. She suggests that they play another game with their eyes blindfolded. Waaba finds some fruit and leftovers from lunch and the crew starts a new game: who can correctly guess the different flavors when blindfolded!
Tuka wins most games but this time Soca is the winner. Soca’s taste buds are used to sensing different flavors as he has always liked trying different foods and dishes. He is pretty much unbeatable when it comes to tasting things!.
Tuka suggests another game. Now Maco gets to play his bottles again while the others dance to the beat of his music. When the music stops, the dancers have to stop moving straight away. As the music continues, they continue dancing. All of a sudden Waaba is nowhere to be seen. “Waaba!” the others cry. They are annoyed. She has become invisible again!
“I’m hiding! Come and get me!” says Waaba softly from somewhere in the room.
“We can’t find you when you’re invisible,” Tuka complains. Although Waaba is invisible, the others can still hear her voice: “Listen carefully to my instructions, I will lead you to where I am. First, you go straight ahead. Then turn to your right. Then take two steps, and a left turn. Then take five steps and soon you will spot a snack table in front of you. Look under the table! Here I am!”
Now that they have found Waaba, they all gather around the snack table and enjoy their food in the best company.
Let’s see how you can perform similar tasks at home. Have fun in the kitchen!
